ACGN Nexus is an open-access academic journal bridging ACGN (Animation, Comic, Game, Novel) culture with the social sciences and humanities. Published by SciHorizon Global LLC, we invite submissions from researchers, critics, and thoughtful scholars worldwide.

We believe ACGN culture is not merely entertainment—it is a vital lens through which contemporary society can be understood, critiqued, and reimagined. From virtual identity to fan economics, from moral dilemmas in game narratives to the ethical boundaries of AI-generated content, ACGN offers rich material for social science inquiry.

Nexus Papers — Original research connecting ACGN cultural phenomena with theories and frameworks from sociology, psychology, philosophy, communication studies, law, economics, political science, aesthetics, and related fields. 5,000–12,000 words (Chinese) / 3,000–8,000 words (English)

Ethics Arena — In-depth ethical inquiry on ACGN-related moral issues: AI virtual characters, derivative creation boundaries, virtual violence and real-world impact, privacy and consent in fan communities, platform governance ethics, and more. 3,000–8,000 words (Chinese) / 2,000–6,000 words (English)

Deep Dive — Long-form critical commentary and analysis of specific works, events, trends, or controversies. Subjective voice and passionate argumentation welcome—depth and fairness expected. 2,000–6,000 words (Chinese) / 1,500–4,000 words (English)

Crossover — Interdisciplinary dialogues, interviews, and co-authored pieces. Primarily invitation-based; unsolicited proposals welcome. Contact the editorial office with a concept note first. 3,000–6,000 words (Chinese) / 2,000–4,000 words (English)

No rigid paper format — IMRaD is not required. Authors may choose a structure conforming to their discipline's conventions, or adopt essayistic, argumentative, or narrative formats.

First-person voice welcome — We encourage distinctive scholarly voices, provided arguments are well-supported and intellectually honest.

Reference preservation — For ACGN research that cites web-based and ephemeral sources, we require authors to archive non-DOI/ISBN online references to ensure long-term traceability.

Article Processing Charge: 100 USD (all sections)

Current policy: APC is waived for all submissions.

All submissions are screened by the Editorial Board. When a topic falls outside the editors' domain expertise, double-blind peer review is conducted.
