Abstract

ACGN (Animation, Comic, Game, Novel) culture represents one of the most dynamic cross-media, cross-linguistic, and cross-community cultural ecosystems of our time. Its inherent fluidity—from transnational adaptation to fan-driven re-creation—continuously engages core questions in sociology, psychology, philosophy, communication studies, law, and other social sciences. Yet scholarly attention to these phenomena has long remained scattered across disciplinary margins, lacking a dedicated platform for convergence. As the founding editorial of ACGN Nexus, this article traces the cultural journey of a Byron verse that entered Chinese ACGN collective memory through a Japanese visual novel, illustrating the unique value of ACGN culture as a meaning-generating system. It argues for the necessity of establishing a dedicated academic journal bridging ACGN culture and the social sciences, and introduces the journal's sections, editorial philosophy, and scholarly standards.
